The Singer’s Practice Hub: helping busy singers stay ConsistenT
Practice is the key for developing your singing skills and continuing to get better outside of lessons.
But so often, it’s not easy to prioritise - because you’re busy, or unsure where to start, or it doesn’t feel very fun.
It can feel easier to book a lesson to get back on track, because a singing teacher creates some accountability.
And lessons gives you specific things to work on, and clearer goals to aim for.
But there are alternative options that can give you motivation, direction and accountability, while helping to build your confidence (and saving you lesson costs).
That’s what the Singer’s Practice Hub provides.
more than a ‘singing exercises library’
I used to really struggle keeping my singing practice consistent, focussed and something I actually looked forward to. When life got busy, it was often the first thing to drop off - even though I had big goals to be a professional singer.
Fast forward a few years, and I’m now a professional jazz singer, and a vocal coach. I’ve worked in universities for over a decade, and have an MA in Vocal Pedagogy.
One of the first things I researched in my Master’s degree was how to help singers practice effectively, efficiently and in a way that they actually enjoy. Because everyone is different, and our brains work in different ways.
That’s why I developed the Singer’s Practice Hub.
It’s a space to support singers, with warm-up and practice options that take into account your motivation levels, how much time you have available, and whether or not you are able to make noise.
There’s also Singing Snacks, Mindset Shifts, Voiceless Options, and elements beyond singing that will help you in your performance career.
Plus options to join the community discussion group to get accountability and motivation - because that’s one of the best ways to keep practice consistent!
