TESSA SMITH

As a musician, band leader, choir leader and singing teacher, Tessa brings enjoyment and positivity to everything she does.

Originally hailing from Northumberland, she is currently settled in Leeds where she is now well-known as an accomplished vocalist, band leader and sought-after educator.

Tessa graduated from Leeds College of Music in 2007, where she gave many performances, including a concert with the LCM Big Band, featuring Johnny Dankworth. She also had the privilege to learn from many world-class musicians, including Norma Winstone, Anita Wardell and Omar Puente.

On this website are details of the projects and musical work Tessa is involved with. 

In addition, Tessa also performs with Echo 42 Big Band and co-runs a tea dance event called TEAPOTS AND TWIRLS with the marvellous Jules Birkby, and is a keen Lindy Hopper.
